What is Brainspotting?

Trauma doesn’t just live in memory. It lives in the body, in the nervous system, and in places that can be hard to access through talking alone.

Brainspotting is a brain and body based therapy that helps access and process trauma and emotional pain stored in the nervous system. It works by identifying specific points in your visual field, called brainspots, that are connected to unprocessed experiences held in the brain and body. When these points are accessed within a safe and attuned therapeutic relationship, the brain can begin to process what has been stuck.
